The Cocktail Balance 2.0 Top 10 nominee by Tales of the Cocktail
We’re over the moon here at The Cocktail Balance! The book we published most recently, The Cocktail Balance 2.0 by Stanislav Harciník, is a 2025 Spirited Awards® Top 10 Nominee for Best New Cocktail or Bartending Book presented by Fernet-Branca.
On May 21, 2025, Tales of the Cocktail Foundation announced their top 10 nominees in the media & writing categories, among others. The recipient of the award will be honoured at the 23rd annual Tales of the Cocktail Festival in New Orleans.
“It’s such an honour and incredible milestone to be listed among such extraordinary work,” says the author. “When you write a book you hope that it will reach someone; to have it recognised by experts in the industry is truly a privilege.”
About the book
The Cocktail Balance 2.0 is an advanced guide for modern bartenders. The handbook for bartenders is divided into three sections—theoretical, practical, and inspirational—covering all aspects of the profession over 290 pages. Accompanied by stunning photography, the hefty tome delves into topics ranging from art to science, from cocktail craft to hospitality. It highlights 15 base ingredients and employs advanced techniques to create 45 component recipes plus 30 cocktail recipes.

The Spirited Awards are given out by the Tales of the Cocktail Foundation, a non-profit platform seeking “to act as a catalyst to Educate, Advance, and Support the communities we touch. Since its founding in 2007, the Spirited Awards have become one of the industry’s most revered awards, recognizing beverage professionals, products, establishments, journalists, and media across every facet of the spirits and cocktail industry on a global scale.”
The Spirited Awards ceremony will take place on July 24, 2025 in New Orleans, USA, at the Tales of the Cocktail, the world’s leading cocktail conference.
