World Class Cocktail Festival 2026 Kicks Off in Style: Slovakia Is Set for Its Biggest Celebration of Bar Culture
The Slovak cocktail scene has just entered one of the most exciting moments of the year. World Class Cocktail Festival 2026 officially kicked off during Mirror Hospitality Expo, where the World Class Experience Bar became one of the standout highlights of the entire event.
Across 4 and 5 May, the bar was taken over by Slovak World Class winners, ambassadors and some of the most recognisable names from both the local and international bar scene. Mirror Hospitality Expo became the symbolic opening of a six-week festival connecting bars, bartenders, guests and brands across Slovakia.
Over the coming weeks, World Class Cocktail Festival 2026 will transform Slovak bars into spaces full of creativity, modern bartending and memorable guest experiences.
The Biggest Edition in the Festival’s History
This year, World Class Cocktail Festival returns on its largest scale yet. The programme brings together 50 bars in 26 cities across Slovakia, creating a unique map of the local cocktail scene.
Over six weeks, guests will have the opportunity to discover new venues, new drinks and a new generation of Slovak talent behind the bar. Each participating venue will bring its own take on the festival experience, its own signature cocktails and its own interpretation of modern bar culture.
Local Talent, Global Brands
World Class Cocktail Festival has long been a platform that shows how far Slovak bar culture has come. It connects local talent with iconic global brands and gives space to the bartenders who are shaping a new generation of hospitality in Slovakia.
Throughout the festival, guests can look forward to original creations built around premium brands:
Tanqueray No. Ten
Don Julio
Zacapa Solera Gran Reserva
Johnnie Walker Black Label
A Festival That Brings the Bar Community Together
World Class Cocktail Festival 2026 is not only about cocktails. It is about people, community and the moments that happen both behind the bar and in front of it.
Throughout the festival, guests and professionals can look forward to guest shifts, masterclasses, tastings, professional workshops and special events that connect the bar community with the wider public. In this way, the festival presents hospitality as a modern culture built on creativity, service, atmosphere and the personal connection between guest and bartender.
“Our goal is to build bar culture in Slovakia with the same passion we see in the world’s leading cocktail capitals. This festival is not just about drinks — it is about community, inspiration and creating memorable moments between guest and bartender,” says Tony Velich, Brand Manager of World Class Slovakia.
50 Bars, 26 Cities, One Cocktail Wave
The record-breaking number of participating venues confirms that the Slovak cocktail scene has the energy, ambition and desire to grow. The festival connects major cities, regional bars and new concepts, proving that bar culture in Slovakia is no longer defined by only a few well-known addresses.
World Class Cocktail Festival also encourages guests to travel for cocktails, discover new venues and see bars as a natural part of modern city life.
The Grand Final Comes to Košice for the First Time
The festival will culminate with the final of World Class Competition Slovakia 2026, taking place on 9 June. This year’s edition carries special significance, as the final will move to Košice for the very first time.
Twelve of Slovakia’s best bartenders will compete for the title of Bartender of the Year, with the winner earning the opportunity to represent Slovakia at the global World Class final in Scotland.
World Class Cocktail Festival 2026 once again confirms that Slovakia has the talent, energy and community to push the local bar scene to a completely new level. This year, on a bigger scale than ever before.
